I remember percussionist Jamey Haddad telling a class that he played a government-sponsored concert somewhere in Africa with musicians from around the world. (Does anyone who took the class remember where?) The musicians, from all different countries, played and danced together long into the night when they weren't rehearsing or performing. This was during George W. Bush's first term, and these musicians told Jamey that if only our President knew what it was like to really dance, the world would be a different place.
